Using A Reference Point To Balance Your Way To Success

Listen!

Goals need a structure, from general to specific. Often we get totally lost in specifics, losing sight of the big picture. Having a reference point allows you to balance your efforts and conserve your energy and money. More in the podcast.

Takin’ The Easy Way Out

Listen!

What’s wrong with easy?

Is beating yourself or others, forcefully, the way to get things done? To “make” things happen?

No. Things will happen anyway. Go with the flow, and win. More in the podcast.

How Do You Know You Are Doing The Right Thing? I don’t know, but there is more to it than just that. Watch.

Use Your Talents And Balance The World

Listen!

Inside of YOU is where the gold is.

There is plenty of noise and distraction in the world. Many things want your attention.

Paying attention to yourself, your inner YOU, is your best defense against the derailing onslaught of external expectations and distractions.

The more you pay attention to your inside matters, the less need there is to pay attention to outside concerns as a source of direction.

You’ll see this happen. Because as you DO something, instead of figuring out what you are supposed to be doing, your results, your ideas, your plans, your work, change. They change for the better. No longer based on “figuring”, but on actual experience, your progress is noticeable and actual…not something you are going to do but something you’ve done.

How To Know What To Do

Listen!

Is there a right way? People say there is. Sadly, these right ways have not worked for me.

What has worked, is doing my best and listening to myself. Doing a little bit at a time, taking it easy at other times, eventually things come together.

How To Keep Going And Not Give Up
Sometimes, enough is enough.
What do you do?
You’re moving at full speed, accomplishing things, yetresults just aren’t there.
You try to ignore it, or just dismiss your lack of results, but deepdown, deep down, you know, that’s something just doesn’t seem right.
So I have to ask, are you listening to yourself?
Your “self” is trying to tell you something.
Like most people, like everyone I suppose, I’ve been there. Plenty of times. And here’s what I’ve found works to break that cycle.
Take time off. Do other things, go out, sit, waste time. Start doing something else, but don’t forget your original idea either. Keep it in the back your mind, somewhere, quietly.
Let yourself share in and be motivated by others success. Kind of like being a fan cheering your favorite team.
Wait until something strikes you, until something affects you before going back in. This is about inspiration. Wait until you are inspired. Pay attention to yourself. Watch for that moment. It’ll come. You can’t beat inspiration as a powerful force to move you forward.
Here’s the kicker, suppose you actually find something better to do? Your original idea or work, is bound to return and try to get your attention. No sooner have you moved on, and the difficult part of the project shows up, purring at your feet.
One way or another you will get back on track when you give your self a little time to be heard.
